If Your Distrohopping Urges Relapse

Why are you downloading another linux distro iso? or you are already finished flashing it to a flashdrive? Why would you distrohop again after all these time? You have distrohopped from Debian Xfce to others, but what happened? You still returned to Debian xfce.

So why are you distrohopping? Is it because of the looks of the new distro? Bruh, Xfce is aesthetically pleasing and simple. You already tried the:

• Simple but bloated and clunky Gnome
• Efficient and customizable Cinnamon (this really is my second best pick, if not for the 20gb freshly installed size, compared to 3gb of Debian Xfce)
• middleweight, fairly bloated, over customizable KDE Plasma
• fairly good looking but bloated pantheon
• good enough but old and leaves a lot to be desired MATE
• lightweight and fairly fast and good-looking but NO WINDOW TILING LXQT (depends on window manager, whether openbox or xfwm, and connection stutters with conmann and iwd)
• resource-efficient but fairly hard-to-use and maitnain tilling window managers

Is it because it may look function a lot faster and snappier than Debian Xfce?

You idiot author! Debian Xfce is one of the snappiest you have tried so far. It has all the software that you need. One more thing, Debian releases are supported for 5 years so yeah, LTS linux distros for the win. I don't want to go through the hassle of configuring my system. I just want it to work. I'm a basic user.

You will be switching to Windows 11 for the software?

Dood, your laptop is equipped with bottom of the line celeron cpu. You have tried W11 in the past and it is slow as your brain without sleep for the past 2 days. You wouldn't be able to run it in the first place. So why go through that ordeal? Why would you let yourself experience that slow, bloated, clunky, continously notifying, and updating (while fixing no problems but instead creates more problems, and ends with a more bloated system). I do not even game in a pc.

Now, if you are planning to switch to Fedora Sway, just ask yourself this:

• Is the current Debian version in its last year of support?
• Is Xfce agonizingly slow and Sway will be significantly faster?
• Will you be able to easily adjust to the workflow of using Sway and its other components?
